Hypopressive Exercises

LIVE In Person & Online Hypopressive Classes

Hypopressive classes require minimal equipment. You will need yoga mat ( or similar), a stretchy band, a ball, and a stable chair, ie, not one on wheels.

Hypopressive exercises are best done on an empty stomach.

For this reason both the in person and live online classes will start at 6:30 am. The classes run for around 45 minutes.

Dr Alison Holden runs her in person hypopressive exercise classes at her Chiropractic practice at 52 Douglas Street, Milton, Brisbane.

Live Online Class Series

The next Live Online class 10-week series starts at: 6 am on Wednesday, April 22 until June 24.

You do not need to be a patient of the practice to register for and participate in the classes.

Live online classes will be recorded on the day and shared to both groups after the Wednesday class. It is recommended to do the exercises at least twice a week to begin to see improvements. As beginners it is best to leave at least a day between classes as your body accustoms to the internal stretches.

The express class recording is there for the days you are time poor. Some practice is better than none! Please make sure to do the longer session recording at least once. If using the shorter link, you may not need rest days in between. You want to make sure you practise at least to the equivalence of 2 full sessions a week.

WHAT TO WEAR:
Wear something loose and comfortable that allows you to move. You can get quite warm when doing the exercises, so layers are a good idea.

The Hypopressive Beginner Class Series

    Your 45 minute class includes:

    • 5 minutes of breath work and diaphragmatic massage.
    • 35 minutes of postural work and hypopressive sequences.
    • 5 minutes of stretching and relaxation.

    You will receive a link to a recording of the class each Wednesday after the live online class, which will remain accessible for your at home practice throughout the week.

    You will also receive a second link to an express class recording for days where your time is limited.

    The exercises will change and evolve over the 10 week series.
